Parker Poe Grows Resort, Hospitality and Planned Development Practice with the Addition of Richard M. Unger

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Richard M. Unger has joined the Firm as a partner in the Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group and a member of the Resort, Hospitality and Planned Development Industry Team. Mr. Unger will work out of the Columbia and Charleston offices.

For more than 35 years, Mr. Unger has counseled clients in all phases of real estate development, with a particular focus on the resort development industry. He represents institutional investors, owners and developers in the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. Mr. Unger also has considerable experience in the area of timeshare development.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Unger was a partner in the Columbia office of Rogers Townsend and Thomas, PC, where he served as head of their Commercial and Resort Development Real Estate Team. Mr. Unger received his Bachelor of Arts from Wofford College and his JD from the University of South Carolina.
