Grant Whitney Jr. named to North Carolina elections board

Charlotte, NC – Grant Whitney, Partner in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office, has been named to the North Carolina State Board of Elections to complete the term of former chairman Josh Howard.

Governor Pat McCrory announced Whitney’s appointment to the Board on Monday January 4th 2016. Josh Howard resigned effective January 1st 2016. His four-year term runs through spring 2017. Whitney is a former Mecklenburg County GOP Chairman.

Grant Whitney is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Development practice group. He has extensive experience representing utilities, municipalities, banks, automobile dealerships, health care providers, developers, home builders, title insurance companies, business and nonprofit corporations, franchisees of fast food restaurant chains and individuals.
