Catharine Arrowood Elected to the American Law Institute

Raleigh, NC – Catharine Biggs Arrowood, Partner in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, was recently elected to The American Law Institute (ALI). The new members, which include prominent judges, lawyers, and law professors, will bring a wide range of perspectives and areas of expertise to ALI’s work of clarifying the law through Restatements, Principles, Model Penal Codes, and Uniform Codes.

Election of 60 new members raises ALI’s total number of elected members to 2,789.The Institute’s elected membership of lawyers, judges, and law professors is limited to 3,000.

Catharine Arrowood litigates and arbitrates for both large and small businesses and has considerable experience with regulated companies. She focuses on resolving problems that threaten the viability of a business. Ms. Arrowood regularly serves as an arbitrator and is the immediate Past President of the North Carolina Bar Association.
