Although traditional Southern culture is part of Atlanta's unique fabric, its diversity is paving the path for Atlanta to strengthen its reputation as one of the nation's leading international cities.

Atlanta spans 29 counties boasting a diverse economy, global access, abundant talent, low cost of business and active lifestyle. These attributes make the city attractive to the 5.5 million residents and 150,000 businesses in the metro Atlanta region. Home to a world-class international airport, multiple parks and green space, and numerous amenities for entertainment, sports and restaurants, Atlanta has won bids to host the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, Super Bowl XXVIII and XXXIV, four NCAA Men’s Final Four, MLB, NBA and NHL All-Star Games and more.

Local Attractions

The metro Atlanta area consists of a unique cultural offering, one that reveals itself at the High Museum of Art, the bohemian shops of Little Five Points, and the multi-cultural dining choices found along Buford Highway. In addition, Atlanta is home to a variety of history museums and attractions, including the Atlanta History Center and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. The 66 post-secondary educational institutions, including Emory University, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Savannah College of Art & Design and others, draw students and families from all over the world.

Community Involvements

Parker Poe is committed to providing active leadership in the communities where we are located, including our newest office in Atlanta. Since the office opening, our attorneys have had the opportunity to become involved with Page Turners Make Great Learners, an organization that seeks to encourage a love of reading in order to expand children’s knowledge and understanding of the world with the purpose of creating a future of literate, productive and compassionate citizens. Parker Poe’s Atlanta attorneys volunteered at the UPS-sponsored Read-a-Thon in 2016 at Whiteford Elementary School.

Through sponsorships and volunteer hours, Parker Poe will continue its focus on this effort, for it is our goal to positively influence the education and future of metro Atlanta region’s children.
