Offices
In 1992, Parker Poe established its first South Carolina office in Spartanburg, South Carolina to serve existing clients and to take advantage of the fast-growing upstate South Carolina business region.
With more than 266,000 residents, Spartanburg has one of the most populous counties in the state. The local economy centers around manufacturing and the area is home to more than 350 facilities owned by national and international companies such as Milliken & Co., BMW Manufacturing Corp., Michelin North America, Inc. and Springs Industries. Located in the heart of the I-85 business corridor, the Greenville-Spartanburg Metro area is one of the top five metropolitan areas for European expansion in the United States as recognized by the New York Times, USA Today, Business Week, and Expansion Management magazine.
Spartanburg's reputation as an educational center stems from the five colleges, universities and post-graduate institutions located within the county: Wofford College, Converse College, the University of South Carolina Upstate, Spartanburg Methodist College and Spartanburg Community College.
