Max Swindle advises clients on financing and private credit needs in the commercial real estate industry. He represents investment banks, commercial banks, alternative asset management firms, and other commercial lenders in the origination of debt secured by real estate assets of all types, including multifamily housing, office, retail, hotel, and industrial and self-storage properties.
Max has a particular focus on originating loans for the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and collateralized loan obligations (CLO) markets. He has advised commercial lenders on balance sheet deals involving syndicated and single-lender transactions for term loans, construction loans, and homebuilder financing.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Max was a real estate finance attorney with one of the 100 largest global law firms.
Max earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as notes editor for the First Amendment Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
