The law firm of Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Jason P. Walton has joined the Firm as an associate in the Charlotte office. As a member of the Tax group, Mr. Walton concentrates his practice in the area of tax controversies and transactional tax planning, including mergers and acquisitions, structuring joint ventures and limited liability companies, like-kind exchanges, and transfers involving REITs and REMICs.
Mr. Walton received his J.D., cum laude, from Washington & Lee in 2001, and his LL.M from New York University in 2002. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, in 1997 and his M.B.A., summa cum laude, in 1998 from Spring Hill College. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Walton practiced with Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P. in Charlotte.
