South Charlotte Weekly profiled Charlotte partner Stacy Wood for her leadership with the Girl Scouts. Stacy serves on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council. Through that, she helps fulfill the council’s mission of developing girls of courage, confidence, and character in Mecklenburg County and seven surrounding counties in North Carolina and South Carolina.
“I thought it would be a great opportunity to take one of my passions and help out a community organization,” Stacy told the publication. She encourages girls to get involved and firmly believes that anyone can be an effective leader: “Take a risk. Be a leader. Get out there. You may fail, but that’s OK. It will make you stronger. It will make you better."
Stacy also helps promote the Girl Scouts through the Parker Poe People campaign, which showcases Parker Poe attorneys and the difference they make in their communities.
