Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Jamie Schwedler has been named to the Clemson Architectural Foundation’s board of trustees. In that role, she will provide oversight to the foundation as it supports Clemson University’s College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities. Clemson Architectural Foundation (CAF) raises funds and implements initiatives to improve the education of students entering the design and building professions. It also works to enrich the practice of those professions through community partnerships.
Jamie received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Clemson University in 1999 and is an alumnus of the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities. She is passionate about the CAF from her firsthand experience as a student. She received the CAF scholarship to study abroad at a villa CAF owns in Genoa, Italy, where she studied European architecture, art, and history in her final year of undergraduate work. CAF maintains and administers that scholarship today and also supports study programs in Barcelona, Spain, and closer to home in Charleston, South Carolina.
Before joining Parker Poe, Jamie worked as a landscape architect with an international landscape architecture and planning firm. Today, she leads Parker Poe's Development Services Industry Team, which helps clients navigate the entire life cycle of real estate projects. Her representation of clients has included zoning requests for large land development projects, conducting due diligence and entitlement review on real estate acquisitions, navigating local and state regulations affecting development, and analyzing legal issues of transportation and infrastructure improvements.
Jamie’s term on the CAF board of trustees will last three years.
