Nana Asante-Smith and Robert Osborne presented at Parker Poe's Carolinas Business Litigation Year in Review. Nana provided an overview of significant cases in 2019 impacting businesses in North Carolina, while Robert provided an overview for South Carolina. They discussed important developments with unfair and deceptive trade practices, misappropriation of trade secrets, noncompetes and other restrictive covenants, punitive damages, and contract disputes. 

The Carolinas Business Litigation Year in Review in Charlotte also included Parker Poe attorneys providing strategic considerations for defending class actions, as well as an overview of discovery issues that can keep in-house counsel up at night. In addition, North Carolina Chief Justice Cheri Beasley discussed trends playing out in the state's judicial system.
