After the U.S. Senate worked through the night this weekend to pass a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill, the House is aiming to sign off on the Senate’s changes as soon as Tuesday. The House also begins work this week on bills to strengthen workers’ ability to form unions and to invest in America’s infrastructure, although key questions on the infrastructure package remain unanswered.
The Senate will consider several of President Joe Biden’s Cabinet nominees later this week, including a potential final vote on Michael Regan to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. Regan recently led North Carolina’s Department of Environmental Quality.
