On April 18, Parker Poe's Education Team hosted a legal retreat for special education administrators from the Metro East Georgia Learning Resources System (GLRS). The retreat included:

• A year in review
• A Q&A panel
• A presentation on discipline of disabled students
• A presentation on responding to school-based anxiety

Sherry Culves moderated the retreat. In addition, Samantha Lewis, Beth Morris, Reagan Sauls, Kathryn Ams, Ashley Akins, and MaryGrace Bell Kittrell provided guidance to the special education administrators.  

Metro East GLRS is part of a network that provides professional learning and other resources to educators and families of students with disabilities. It serves an area that includes DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties.
