Greyson recently attended Government Contracts Week in Hilton Head, South Carolina hosted by Federal Publication Seminars, a leader in the U.S. in training government contract professionals. He participated in "FAR Week," which provided an in-depth review and discussion of both the FARs and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).
Participants learned about the legal framework behind government procurement and contracting, including ethics and compliance, differing types of government contracts, commercial exceptions, teaming and subcontracting issues, and small business programs. They also received training on intellectual property issues, acquisition of foreign products and the Buy American Act, and the general management and administration of government contracts.
The FARs are considered the center of government procurement as they directly affect the purchase and sale of more than $200 billion worth of supplies, services, and construction on an annual basis by federal and state procurement offices. The certificate program provides professionals with a detailed working knowledge of the regulation to ensure they are staying on top of constant changes, getting the best possible contract, and staying in compliance with applicable laws.
Greyson received the Federal Publications Seminars Federal Acquisition Regulation (FPS FAR) certificate.
