In Munich, Germany, Parker Poe’s Business Expansion + Location Solutions (BELS) Team recently organized a roundtable discussion on opportunities for German companies in the U.S. after the election. The event brought together business leaders from companies seeking a presence in the Carolinas as well as economic development leaders and private sector companies from those states.
The BELS Team organized the event in collaboration with the City of Charlotte’s Economic Development Department, the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), the South Carolina Department of Commerce, and North American executive search firm TH Bender.
Sven Gerzer, a consultant from the BELS Team and former vice president of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce (now the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance), moderated the roundtable. BELS Team members and attorneys Al Guarnieri and Dom Lerario took part in the discussion as well. As part of the trip, the team also visited German companies considering growth in the U.S.
In addition, Sven was quoted in a Charlotte Business Journal article about the city’s economic development efforts in Germany. Learn more about that here.
