Atlanta, GA – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Elena Lopez Lane has been selected for the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Ambassador Excellence Award. Elena has served as an ALA ambassador for the past two years, providing mentorship to five new ALA members across North America.
Elena "went above and beyond to provide an exceptional mentorship experience" through ALA’s Ambassador Program, according to the organization. As an ambassador, Elena shared her insights about the association with mentees and provided guidance and direction to address new members' needs — all around the goal of developing relationships with new members and giving them an immediate peer connection.
Elena has over 30 years of experience in the legal industry, holding roles such as paralegal, HR generalist, recruiter, and firm administrator. She has served as an office administrator for Parker Poe for the past five years, assisting attorneys and clients in both the Atlanta and Washington, DC offices. Elena also served as president of the Atlanta Association of Legal Administrators, creating the agenda and presiding over each monthly board of director’s meeting. She later served on its board, both as the director of communication and business partner director.
Elena began working with the ALA in 2017 as a liaison to several chapters before becoming a mentor in the ambassador program in 2023.
Elena will receive her award at ALA’s annual conference in May.
