Taylor Stair focuses his practice in the areas of construction litigation and complex commercial litigation. He represents developers, homebuilders, contractors, and owners with pre-construction, construction, and post-construction issues. Taylor has extensive experience with complex construction claims involving multifamily and single-family residential dwellings, as well as commercial properties. Additionally, he offers non-litigation support for construction clients and provides legal advice related to emerging industry issues.
Taylor is actively involved in various local and state organizations. He is an active volunteer with the Special Olympics South Carolina and was named the honorary chairperson of the 2011 Special Olympics Charleston Gala due to his volunteer work and fundraising for the Special Olympics. In addition, he is a member of the Special Olympics Committee and served as the chair of the Membership Events Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Taylor received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 2004 and graduated cum laude from the Charleston School of Law in 2008. While attending law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Mikell R. Scarborough, Charleston County Master-in-Equity. After law school, Taylor practiced law at a well-respected litigation law firm in Charleston, South Carolina, where he focused on the areas of construction litigation, personal injury, and insurance coverage and defense.
